RESEARCH & CONCEPTS
The concept for A Spike Lee Joint was to create Teyana’s face in an illustrated style dressed in a similar style to Spike Lee’s character Mars Blackmon from his film “She’s Gotta Have It” and the Air Jordan commercials symbolizing her respect for him as a filmmaker from Harlem, NY.
